The EDS partnership with North Park Middle Academy was initiated in 1990 and includes over 50 employee volunteers. EDS mentors work one-on-one with students to enhance self-esteem and promote understanding of the importance of education. Other activities focus in the areas of science, math, and technology. EDS is the provider of information technology services for the JASON project, and provides the school with instructor material and videos of the JASON Classroom Network to enhance students' interest in science and technology. Achievements in math and science are recognized through awards and recognition. EDS also provides Study Skill books for all students that are used by the faculty for tracking assignments.EDS sponsors a $1500 technology grant program for all students. These technology grants are awarded to schools documenting innovative ways to incorporate technology into student learning. This program is a national campaign that local EDS accounts have focused in the WNY area.
